The Sunday Post #1

The Sunday Post #1

Away From The Blog

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all had a good week. This week was a bit much for me. I had to go to court and sit in a waiting room all day on Tuesday. Thursday, I get a call from the police because my son’s phone called the emergency line. It was a bit stressful mentally this week. Our washing machine also decided to just leak like crazy and my husband was unable to fix it… which means we had to shell out money from savings to cover this.

I’m really hoping that next week will be better. I don’t have any doctors appointments this coming week and no other things going on. I’m hoping it’s a smoother week for us.

Bookish Life

It seems like I’ve kind of slowed down with my reading. I think it’s because of everything else that has been going on in our life. At the time of writing this post, I have finished The Sinner and Falls Boys and I’m currently working on finishing Runaway Love.

I purchased one book this week, which was Firebird! I’ve been trying to be pretty mindful about how many books I’m purchasing and if I’m going to purchase one, I will donate one that I don’t think I will read. I have a goal to keep my percentage of my physical books read at 50% or higher. I’m currently behind on this goal so when I haul a book, I will unhaul another.

Reading Goals

37 / 100 books
15,568 / 42,000 pages
48.23% read of my physical books

All reviews are always my opinion. I do not get paid to review books or give good reviews. There will be times where books are provided for my honest review. I will always indicate whether a book was provided to me for review.

  1. It sounds like you had a stressful week, but they say that bad things come in threes, so hopefully you’ll have an easier time this week. I love the idea of reading at least half the books that you own, and I’m going to have to give it a try soon.

    1. Yes, I made it a goal for myself this year to hold myself accountable to make sure I’m actually reading the books I purchase!
