Goodreads Choice Awards – Romantasy Category

Goodreads Choice Awards – Romantasy Category

Welcome to my second and last installment of the Goodreads Choice awards content! It’s my last because I don’t feel like I should go in depth in the other categories as I haven’t read the majority of the books or heard of most of them. I can’t believe that I haven’t read anything in the fantasy category… oops.

I had a fun time doing these posts and I really want to do it again next year! I might even go ahead and make a post going over the winners once they are announced.

Books Nominated In The Romantasy Category

A Witch’s Guide To Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna: I’ve heard many, many good things about this book. Unfortunately, it’s a cozy romantasy so I will not be picking it up. I have learned from books I read in the past that I do not like the cozy books. I need more drama and action.

The Songbird & The Heart Of Stone by Carissa Broadbent: I read this book and I unfortunately did not enjoy it as much as the first duology that Carissa released. I wanted to love this book so much. I may reread it soon just to verify my three-star feelings.

Enchantra by Kaylie Smith: I had so much fun with this book. I honestly think Kaylie Smith is so very talented. I am just waiting on the five-star book from her. I need it.

The Irresistible Urge To Fall For Your Enemy by Brigitte Knightley: I have not read this one yet! I do want to but the cover kind of turns me off a little bit… It makes me feel like it would be rom commy and I’m not sure I would enjoy it. Let me know if I need to read it!

Immortal by Sue Lynn Tan: I haven’t read anything by this author yet. Do I have a couple of books of hers on my shelves? Yes. I don’t know why I haven’t gotten to any yet. Her books are stunning and I’m constantly having an eye on one of them.

Accomplice To The Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer: I can honestly say that I have had zero inclination to reading this series. I don’t think I will enjoy it. Maybe I’m wrong and it’s a great series.

Bonds Of Hercules by Jasmine Mas: I still need to read this first book in this series. Definitely one I’ve heard many mixed things on. I am hoping I enjoy it.

The Wrath Of The Fallen by Amber V. Nicole: I actually just started this series! The first book was pretty damn good I had to buy the rest of the books that were out. Unfortunately, I can’t make myself vote for something I haven’t read yet.

Shield Of Sparrows by Devney Perry: I truly enjoyed this one. It was so good. Very close to five stars. I think reading it back-to-back with Silver Elite messed me up. I shouldn’t have read them so close together. I definitely want to do a reread before the second book comes out!

On Wings Of Blood by Briar Boleyn: This book is blowing up! I have it on my shelves and I’m currently waiting to get to read it. I am very excited for this one.

Emily Wilde’s Compendium Of Lost Tales by Heather Fawcett: I have yet to start this series. I have had the first book on my shelves for a long time. Maybe I’ll get to it soon!

Dire Bound by Sable Sorensen: I think this one was just switched from indie to traditionally published. I have heard nothing but good things about this book and I’m dying to get to it.

Rose In Chains by Julie Soto: I am beginning to realize I did not read as many new romantasy books as I thought… I want to get to this one eventually. It’s another Dramione fanfic that was traditionally published. Hopefully it’s a good one!

Wild Reverence by Rebecca Ross: I have like three books by this author on my shelves and have not read a single one. Someone tell me to read them!

The Knight And The Moth by Rachel Gillig: I literally drove like four cities away in order to purchased the Barnes & Noble edition of this book and I still haven’t read it yet. I should be ashamed.

Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros: This was originally my vote for this category. I loved this book. I know a lot of people didn’t but I am obsessed with this series and I am sad we have to wait for the next one. There was just one other book that I loved a little bit more.

Our Vicious Oaths by N.E. Davenport: This one is on my TBR for December. I am kinda confused how this one ended up on this list… it just barely over 1500 ratings.

Mate by Ali Hazelwood: I really need to get to this one. I loved Bride so much and I have a feeling I will love this one even more!

Silver Elite by Dani Francis: This one was so close to being a five-star read. Honestly, if I reread it it might be five stars. This book was so good. Definitely excited to see what happens next!

My Vote

Alchemised by SenLinYu: This book had to be the winner for me. Any category this book was listed in, got my vote. This book is God tier. I am truly hoping that this author plans on writing more books. Their writing is phenomenal.
