Review: The Words by Ashley Jade
Rating: ⭐️⭐️

Unfortunately, this book didn’t resonate with me the way I had hoped. While many people I follow absolutely loved it, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. I’m starting to think that rockstar romances might not be my genre.

I struggled to connect with the characters and the storyline, but I was still intrigued enough to keep reading until the end. That says a lot about Ashley’s writing style, which I do enjoy. I’m definitely looking forward to exploring more of her work in the future!

Did you reach your 2024 reading goals?

I had a goal of reading 100 books, which I reached in either October or November. I also had a goal of reading 42,000 pages, which I hit in November!

I'm planning on keeping these same goals for 2025 as I know I can reach them.

What was your favorite read of 2024?

I would have to say it's a tie for me! I loved Reckless by Elsie Silver and I also loved In A Jam by Kate Canterbary.

Honestly, give me a small town romance and I'm sure I'll love it 🥰

I read Keep Me and adored it! I'm still currently reading The Striker by Ana Huang and loving it. I'm hoping to get to The Words next :)

My good friend @auroralydia sent me Little Stranger by Leigh Rivers and I am dying to get to this delicious dark romance that she was raving about!

Also, my best friend Summer got me Good Girl Complex by Elle Kennedy and Meet Me Under The Mistletoe by Jenny Bayliss!

I am so grateful for my wonderful friends and so grateful that they thought of me during the holiday season.
