Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, where we explore a variety of bookish topics every Tuesday. This week’s theme is a freebie, giving us the perfect opportunity to share something personal or special. With the holiday season upon us, I’m always on the lookout for engaging posts to share and spread some festive cheer.
Since this is a freebie, I’m not going to list ten items. I’d rather focus on what I’m truly thankful for, rather than including random things just to fill the list.
What books/bookish things are you thankful for?
Kindle
This year, the thing I’m most thankful for is my Kindle. I upgraded from my Kobo earlier this year, and it’s been a game-changer. My favorite feature? Using it in dark mode – it’s such a comfortable way to read, especially during the evenings!
If you don’t already have a Kindle, I highly recommend it. They’re incredibly convenient and much easier to carry around than a physical book. I’ve also noticed that I tend to read a bit faster on my Kindle.
Fourth Wing
I haven’t yet done my annual reread of Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, but I can’t help but acknowledge how much she reignited my love for Fantasy Romance. I used to read it all the time, but I kind of drifted away from the genre as I found myself reading mostly YA books. Fourth Wing brought me back to the magic of Fantasy Romance in a way I hadn’t expected!
Milo
Milo, of course, is my cat.
I’m incredibly thankful for him because he’s my little buddy, my best friend. He always manages to be a part of everything I do at home, whether I’m reading, napping, or taking my bookish photos.
Romance Books
Romance books have been my saving grace throughout 2024. I used to feel embarrassed about my love for the genre, but now I fully embrace it.
Reading something I truly enjoy has made achieving my reading goals so much easier.
Audiobooks
Audiobooks have been a total game changer for me. They’ve allowed me to get so much reading done throughout the year by letting me multitask while enjoying a great story.
If you don’t listen to audiobooks, I highly recommend it!

I’m thankful for audiobooks too! Listening to a story while I exercise makes the gym less horrible.

I’ve found audiobooks to be a game changer as I’ve started crafting again. Now I can read and create at the same time! YAY!!

I totally agree with you on both the Kindle and audiobooks. I was slow to get on the e-reader bandwagon, but now I can’t live without my Kindle. I still read mostly physical book, but I also use my Kindle a ton. Audiobooks have been big for me too. I love that I can still read while doing housework, driving, and exercising. Oh, and Milo’s a cutie 🙂
Happy TTT!
