2024 End Of The Year Book Tag
I can’t believe it’s already the end of the year, and we’re diving into this tag again! I always look forward to doing this because it’s such a great way to reflect on the past year while getting ready to embrace the new one.
2024 was a year of highs and lows, especially when it came to my reading journey. At one point, I wasn’t sure I’d be able to meet my reading goal, but thankfully, I managed to push through and overcome the slump. I hit my goal in November, which means December is all about relaxing and enjoying books purely for the fun of it.
With all that being said, I’m going to get into these questions!
Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
I’m actually pretty good at starting and finishing books. I usually won’t start a new one until I’ve finished the one I’m currently reading. If I’m struggling to get through a book, I don’t hesitate to DNF it and move on!
Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?
I’m not typically a seasonal reader, but this year I couldn’t resist picking up a few Christmas books. Holiday-themed reads feel like the perfect way to ease into the cozy spirit of fall and transition seamlessly into the festive mood of the year’s final season.
How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn, The Christmas Fix by Lucy Score, Make The Season Bright by Ashley Herring Blake
Is there a release that you are still waiting on?
I don’t think there are any more books that I am still waiting on this year! I am obviously eagerly awaiting Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros, but that doesn’t come out until January.
What are three books you’d like to read before the end of the year?
I am currently reading The Striker by Ana Huang that I am slowly making my through, I’m enjoying it and I want it to last! The other books are honestly just other books I’d like to get to. I don’t really choose a tbr so this question is kinda hard.
The Striker by Ana Huang, The Words by Ashley Jade, Phantasma by Kaylie Smith
Is there a book that can still shock you and become your favorite of the year?
I think that any book can definitely still shock me and become a favorite. I’m currently reading a book by Ana Huang and her books always make me swoon head over heels. The Striker could definitely become a new favorite!
Have you already made reading plans for 2025?
Yes! I tend to keep my reading plans the same… I plan to read 100 books. I would love to read 42,000 pages. My main goal is to only read books I own though! That doesn’t mean that I can’t buy books, but I have to read books I physically own.
